This March we have made the partnership between Dietz and REGNER official. During our last trip to North Brabant, both companies shared their interest in starting a new project together.

The goal, unlimited mobility with the design of the new Dietz electric wheelchair for more independence.

Progress in electric mobility

People who use electric wheelchairs are facing different situations and obstacles on a daily basis that limit, among other things, their social life, their access to some places due to the limitations of the wheelchair as well as the limitations of their movements. Many of these people lack independence and at the same time suffer from the causes of lack of physiological stimulation.

To overcome all these shortcomings, Dietz is designing a wheelchair that will represent a technological breakthrough and improve the well-being of users of these mobile devices.

This will be aimed at the development of medical equipment, where it plans to study the production of new components for the electric chair sector, in order to improve and innovate in the type of advanced motion control solutions.

REGNER has been working on the design and production of a series of devices focused on the healthcare sector, specialising in the development of medical aids. Given the experience in this type of devices and their integrations, the collaboration between these two entities made sense by sharing ideas and projects.

Opportunities and growth in medical aids

These innovative systems aim in a simple way to facilitate and improve the quality of life of people with different needs. They also represent an opportunity to improve the type of solutions already in place, and, in turn, a good opportunity to devise new ones.

Considering the different applications and functions that medical devices can have, understood as any device designed to diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat or alleviate different diseases, alongside Dietz, we are opening up a whole range of possible integrations to medical devices, which will motivate the design of different solutions.

REGNER’s engineering division has extensive experience in integrating devices and parts, as well as designing components, which improve the function and mobility of wheelchairs and other aids, thus advancing these much-needed applications for people with mobility impairments.

Dietz has a wide range of devices for people with these types of mobility difficulties, ranging from walking aids to hygiene instruments, with a special focus on electric wheelchairs.

Needs analysis and dynamic solutions

Dietz aims to support people with physical limitations in their daily participation by offering them greater mobility and comfort, thus strengthening their individual quality of life. The companies of the DIETZ GROUP offer various mobility aids as well as intelligent service components for rehabilitation and care.

REGNER is growing in terms of medical aids, focusing on discovering unmet needs, analysing and proposing possible devices, such as our latest addition in medical aids, the RA42 lift. This integration has been designed to facilitate the movement of incorporation and accommodation that the user makes when having to sit down and stand up. This device is equipped with REGNER’s actuators, but it does not integrate a particular actuator, but this medical aid is manufactured according to the need, therefore, the actuators vary at the request of the purchaser.

This dynamic assistance is the result of a deep needs analysis the current technical aid systems were analysed, which were too large and bulky, resulting in the need for a more or less wide space arrangement and a complicated installation of the device parts.

The RA42 REGNER lift solves the problem of space, as this solution, much more compact than its predecessors, does not require any extra space other than the seat itself. It is also possible to integrate several of our actuators in its mechanism, adapting the movement to the patient’s needs and personalising the service offered by the device to the maximum.

Shared vision

REGNER and Dietz’s common goal is to grow in this sector by improving existing solutions with new technology and new components. Using REGNER’s motion control know-how together with Dietzes designs to create together a new generation of high-tech power chairs.
