Power wheelchair users shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort for function. To this end, the RA-MINI actuator enables the system to achieve full suspension at any elevation, seating position or driving speed. This offers unparalleled stability and security to users while negotiating uneven surfaces and transitioning from ramps to level surfaces.
For this to work in an application where space is of the essence, the RA-MINI combines power and compact design. Indeed, the reliable RA-MINI actuator supports loads of up to 45 Nand presents a sturdy aluminum housing, which allows for a high IP54 protection, all in a device that fits in the palm of your hand. In the suspension system of the QM-7 SEDEO ERGO, it is located in a specially-shaped tiny receptacle on the platform.
Additionally, the RA-MINI has an overcurrent protection system, which prevents any damage to the motor. When the actuator reaches its fully extended or fully retracted positions, an electronic limit switch automatically cuts off the current to prevent damage to the motor. When it reaches either stroke end point, the actuator can move only in the opposite direction, until it is separated from the limit and it can resume its normal function and move freely in either direction.
